How canned messages work with live chat software?

 

If you find yourself sending the same messages out periodically such as Procedure to install the live chat software, features of any product etc., then you could save a great deal of time by using and re-using premade messages or called as Canned messages.

 

No need to type the same message again and again during that chat session , you can store the frequent used messages as Canned messages and retrieve it during the chat session . It is stored in our remote server and you can use the canned messages created in the office in your home or any other

places .

Step 1: Creating Canned messages Category

Canned messages category will help you to organize the canned meesgaes easily , To add the cannned messages category follow the steps.

 

1. Click Canned Message in the file menu of operator console and then click Add category button on right side.

 

2. On click of Add category , a small pop up window will be opened and enter the Category name on that then click OK to add cannned message category.

Step 2 : Adding Canned messages

Click Add Canned message button and select Canned message category , then enter a canned message name . Canned message name should be a single word and no special characters are allowed on that , also canned message name should be unique. You can enter maximum of 255 character for each canned message and there is no limit on number of canned messages.

Step 3 : Pulling Canned messages during chat session

You can easily load the canned messages and send it to the chating visitor during chat session. To load the canned message panel click "Canned Icon" in the Chat panel.

On click, new Canned message window will appear , select any of the canned messages and the message will be loaded in the dialog box , if you need you can add some more messages and then send that message to the chatting visitor instantly.
