This enabled feature helps in collecting the required informations from the visitor or the customer in the research point of view. There are different templates provided to create the questionnaire to conduct the survey before are after a chat session.
Pre chat survey
Pre chat survey means the survey conducted before the chat session. The questionnaire will be loaded once the visitor or the customer clicks the live help button . You also have a provision to make this survey mandatory i.e. only after complete answering the survey, the visitor or the customer will be engaged for a chat session. If the survey is not mandatory, the visitor or the customer can skip the survey.
Follow the steps to create a Pre – chat survey questionnaire.
- Go to “Pre-chat survey >> Create New” from the menu.
- Enter the “ Survey Name” which will not be displayed in the questionnaire .For Example “Customer satisfaction” can be a survey name.
- Enter the “Survey Message” Which can be a brief introduction about the purpose and nature of the survey. This will be displayed along with the questionnaire.
- check the “Is mandatory?” Box to make the survey compulsory
. If this box is not checked, then the Visitor or the Customer can skip it and enter the chat session.
- Type in the question.
- select the answer type by checking the appropriate box. In case of single answer type, the participant can select only one answer from the given set of answers. On the contrary, the participant can select as many answers as possible from the given set of answers in the case of multiple answer type.

- Type in the answers. You can have as many answers as you want for that particular question. Click
to add more answers.
- Click
and follow the same steps to add more questions.
- Ckick here link will take you to the teplate which will be helpfull in gettin additional infomations like First Name. Last Name, e-mail Id, comments etc.
- Click
to see the form that will be broadcast.
- click
to save your questionnaire.
- click
to broadcast the survey.
- Any saved survey can be edited / updated as follows.
- Go to Survey management>> Survey list from the Menu.
- Click on [ Edit ] link corresponding to the survey that you want to edit. This will take you to the edit mode for that particular questionnaire.
- Do all the modifications you need and press
to save. You can only edit the questionnaire before activating it.
- You can activate a pre chat survey from Survey list by clicking [ Activate ] link or from edit mode by pressing
button.
- You can deactivate the survey by clicking on [ Deactivate ] link from the survey list.
Post chat survey
Post chat survey means the survey conducted after the chat session. The questionnaire will be loaded once the visitor or the customer finishes a chat session .
To create and activate a new Post chat survey, please go to
Survey management>> Post chat survey and follow the same procedure as in the case of pre chat survey
